The Minister reiterated the government\u2019s stance that the responsibility lies with the Province of Limburg. The Limb\u00f6rgse Academie believes this position violates international and national laws and that additional parliamentary questions are necessary. The Academy proposes that the government should explain how this stance aligns with international law and the favored position of Frisian. Limburgish was recognized in 1997, but the government has not fulfilled its obligations since then. Limburgish remains a regional language both internationally and nationally, and urgent additional policy and funding are needed to protect the language.
